It’s 6 degrees F on this fine Michigan morning. The sun is shining and the snow is crunchy and luminous. Old dog has found a favorite spot in the sunlight and I have a kick in my step because there’s not a cloud in sight.
One of the things I appreciate most about Winter is its ability to make me treasure ALL seasons just a little bit more… only 2 months till Spring!

Sounds like you’re having a very similar day to the one we’re having here in Minnesota. Enjoy!
Indeed TerriTerri .. It’s chilly but very pretty out. Cheers~ MJ
We lived in Midland, Michigan, for almost three years. It was a great place to live, but the weather was a bit trying…grey and cold, and the snow didn’t melt off very quickly! Hard to believe that the weather in coastal Alaska is so much warmer than many spots in the lower 48!
Hi Sheila .. I hear you .. Having grown up on the prairies with artic temps & a constant wind I was unprepared for the piles and piles of snow we receive here in West MI; I now understand the term “lake effect” … and learning to drive in ice was a whole new experience for me. We are truly experiencing the “dog days” of winter right now .. but yesterday’s sunshine makes the bitter temps more manageable! Happy day to you
