Music for a morning

It’s Friday and it’s been a challenging week. I need something big to get me motivated this morning.

I give you Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” performed by Canadian songstress k.d. lang.

Disregard her politics, her lifestyle and yes, even her lack of shoes.

Just close your eyes and let her voice take you someplace wonderful.

  1. Oooh, I’m a huge K.D. Lang fan, and a Leonard Cohen fan also. Awesome.

  2. hve

One of my favorite songs! Awesome rendition.

    • I agree HVE. An interesting footnote is that Katherine Dawn (KD) grew up in Consort, Alberta. My sister lived there for a time and, as a nurse, looked after kd’s mom. “Nice lady” she said. Small world, eh?

  3. K.D. Lang and Leonard Cohen – not a combination I would have thunk up…but it works nonetheless….
hopefully you can rest up this weekend…

  4. KD cold sing the phone book and I would listen. I wish my voice was as good as hers.

  5. Thanks for this little treasure. I think you and I are a lot alike.

  6. Oh WOW! That is amazing! Thank you SO much for sharing. I think I need this on my iPod.

She is living proof that despite the opinions of anyone else, it is possible to find that place of pure beauty inside oneself.

  7. Yep, KD Lang is a wonderful singer….and from my home Province none the less which always does Alberta proud. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend….snowed like crazy her friday night and all day yesterday which seems to be the norm for a lot of places this winter. I have never seen so much snow fall in the the most unusual places this year o_O Tracie
