Ninja Commentary

In addition to being a creative outlet, there’s something else I love about having a blog profile on WordPress: The ability to perform Ninja-like stealth-mode commentary.

I don’t mean just commenting on Freshly Pressed posts, which I do sometimes. But not always. And I’m not that timely; my comments are rarely made seconds after the FP fairies have anointed the unsuspecting with pixie dust.

No, what I like, what I really, really enjoy, is sitting down at my computer with a cup of hot coffee and clicking on the topics (tags) that interest me.  I love to see where this activity will take me.

Who will I meet?

What will I discover?

Who will I relate to?

What will I learn?

How will it all come together?

This is what I love about having a blog on WordPress.

Your turn.  What do you love about blogging?  The writing – the commentary – or both?

  1. I love the writing and commentaries. I love meeting other bloggers from all over and finding “kindred spirits”. There is so much to learn from those I meet and I am the better for it.

  2. I love connecting with people from other places, people I would otherwise not have a chance to know. Through blogging, I have made what I now consider to be close friends in places all over the U.S. and as far away as England.

  3. Yes! In the blink of an eye…I have made a connection to someone on the other side of the world. That is fun, interesting and joyful!

  4. I check out some of the Freshly Pressed postings too…don’t usually comment. But I like following the trail. You know, one click leads to another, leads to another. It’s a little like a game and always takes me to places I would never had discovered on my own.

I also really enjoy the finding blog sites that draw me back to read another post another day. It’s fun to find kindred spirits and to experience a digital friendship with a diverse group of people.

    Happy Saturday!

    • I agree with you, Sheila. I also like discovering a newer blogger and knowing that my one comment might be all they got that day and how exciting that can be for the author. I have a hard time keeping up with my blogroll b/c I have so many writers whose work (your’s included) I enjoy … cheers!! MJ

  5. I LOVE WordPress. Just so many things about it are awesome. Just the tone of the administrators is so funny and customer-friendly.

I love everything about blogging…especially discovering new wonderful people with great stories to tell :)

  6. When i started, it was for the writing and for the ability to chronicle life and the things I thought were interesting. Of course, I thought my friends and family would read, but too many of them thought it was “weird” – and to my surprise, I managed to connect with like-minded people and enjoy our discussions. Still am to this day. :)

    • Isn’t it fun to find where we are similar – and often where we are not? (you thought friends would read; they thought it weird .. but you found new friends {here} that loved what you had to say?). Great post – thanks for weighing in, MJ
