Indeed, thanks to everyone and anyone who played a role in getting the job done. Here’s to our troops returning home soon!
Amen! MJ
I have mixed feelings but I am glad to see this person gone and no longer able to taunt others who do not believe as he does. I suspect the troops will be there for some time yet. Oh, but I wish they could come home as soon as possible.
Rumbley, I hear you. It is not in our nature to cheer at the demise of another but I have to believe that it’s not a coincidence that Hitler and OBL both left the earth on the same date (May 1st).
MJ
Yes, indeed. The Navy Seals were from a base not too far from our home in Virginia!
really?it’s awesome~

Agreed. Glad to see justice but not the dancing in the streets and celebrating death. It is not who we are nor our culture….we need to remember that.
I agree; remember how badly we felt when we saw that on TV after 9/11? I don’t condone the dancing although I do think it is human nature to relish it a little.
Thanks for commenting, MJ
we are victory~we will always remember the 9.11 victims, the fireman, the policeman, they are so brave, they are the real heroes of the world~
I hope we will always remember but I fear that headlines devoted to the Kardashians and other time-wasters will dull the memory of that painful day.
Thank you for commenting, MU
time will cure the pain in people’s heart, but heroes will always living in memories,i believe that, even though sometimes maybe dulled, it make our tough and make our cherish lives.
I hope you are right.. and I thankyou for your further comments. Take care, MJ
Just happened on your blog. I’m still in shock about OBL. And as far as headlines, my friends in North AL are afraid people will forget their recovery efforts from the tornadoes… they had more twisters on Monday night and I’m not sure anyone knew.
I’m sure a lot of people are still sorting through mixed emotions about OBL’s demise. Understandable.
Thank you, Indy. I can see how folks in N. AL would feel like that; we get our news in 30 second sound bytes and our attention spans seem to get shorter all the time. Is anyone even talking about Japan and the earthquake aftermath anymore? I, for one, did not know that there were more twisters there on MOnday night.
I have mixed emotions as well about OBL; do I think his demise will halt other extremists? Not in the least. Am I just a little bit relieved that he is no more? Perhaps a little. But you won’t see me dancing; I’m not looking to incite more hatred or violence and sadly .. I don’t think it matters if I danced anyway.
I really appreciate your thoughtful comments; please visit again. Cheers, MJ
Right you are. I wondered aloud the other day how Gabby Giffords was doing. My friend actually looked at me and said, “And who is that?”
Isn’t that the truth …
