Merino A No-No

So, the hubbs loves himself a nice sweater. Not a sweater vest, just a cozy cotton sweater.  He’s always cold and doesn’t hesitate to layer up, even on a Michigan summer night.

I was going through some older photos today and found this one.  Yep, this is is what’s known in our house as the “Merino a -No No.”

What do you do when a merino (wool) sweater takes an unexpected tumble in the dryer?  You put it on the dog and you laugh your face off!

  1. That is SO funny! At least you have another use for it. Love the merino-a-no-no and ridiots!!
(your hubbs sound a little like me: I keep a sweater or lightweight jacket in the car in the summer. Restaurants and grocery stores are COLD!)

    • We had a good laugh at that then – and today when I “found” the photo again! Pets – they bring so much joy to our lives, don’t they?

And yes – layer it up – we both keep a light jacket in the car for that same reason as you described.

A Michigan summer’s day = shorts in the morning, parka at night!!

  2. Jim’s always cold too…I tease him because he sometimes wears jammy pants under his jeans in the winter!

The dog is rockin’ that sweater!

    • You know it; Frankie is styling now.

Isn’t that funny that your hubby is always cold, too? I used to be that way .. then middle age hit and now — every day is summer!!

      Cheers Wendy ! MJ

  3. Now I know what I can do with my laundry mishaps. The story was cute, but the caption on the picture is what sent me in to a loud laughter. I love dogs. And, I love dogs in shrunken sweaters. ~ Lenore

  4. Too funny…”ridiots” reuse/renew/recycle….even our pets get into it. Great picture. Makes me feel a bit cooler today.

  5. You know I love a good dog picture!

  6. LOL! What a patient pup! Of course, there is nothing funnier than dressing up the furry family members in people clothes!

  7. Love this! You can’t go wrong with dog photos!

    Thanks!

  8. This literally made me LOL. I totally appreciate a good dog pic. At least the shrunken sweater didn’t go to total waste!
