Today

On a day of remembrance & deep sorrow, sometimes all we CAN do is reclaim our NORMALCY as proof that COWARDS who sneak in to attack us will NEVER take away what remains: our ability to live a FULL & FREE life.

So today, I remember, but I also celebrate Hubbs’ bday with our kids & grandkids and in-laws.

What survives? Honor, faith, hard work, patriotism and FREEDOM, BABY!!

  1. MJ,
Truly the best way to remember – holding your own family close. We never know when it might not be possible. Enjoy the day!

  2. Bravo to you! Celebrate and enjoy your family, that’s the best way to honor those lost lives…By celebrating life and freedom!

  3. Oorah! MJ

  4. I’d like to add one more thing to your “what survives” list, love. We have it, the terrorists don’t. Suck on that al qaeda.

  5. Thanks to you (and Rich) for pointing out the truly important things we have!

  6. Happy Birthday to the Hubbs! And the young daughter of our neighbor across the street, on her birthday, is celebrating the firemen who saved her home in spite of two evacuations. Thank you for the prayers.

    • Thank you; actually his birthday was Saturday, but Sun was the day we could all gather. How nice of that young girl to be so thoughtful :) MJ

  7. Happy Birthday to husband…one of my best friends had a birthday today as well! So we remember those we love…and pray for those who may never find closure but will move forward

    • Thank you; his birthday was Saturday, 9-10, but yesterday was the first chance we had to all be together. And yes – we remember those we love and celebrate what can never be taken – freedom!! MJ

  8. Thank you for your thoughts on such a tender subject. Love to all.
