Clouds in my coffee

That was a possible name for my blog. Because I love cream in my coffee and to me, it looks like a cloud. Can’t imagine coffee without it. And don’t think about adding sugar, sugar is for little kids.

But I chose emjayand them because I’m MJ and “them” is everyone else… family, friends, co-workers, other drivers, people I meet.

Plus I didn’t want people thinking I am some kind of coffee maven. Because I’m not. I like farmer’s coffee. It’s not Sumatran. It’s not Kona. It’s Folgers or Maxwell House with several extra scoops and it’s likely been left on the warmer most of the afternoon. It’s the kind of coffee farmers warm their hands over after a long cold day in the field, or at a hockey game, or at an auction house, or while sampling ginger snaps at a neighbor’s kitchen table.

I don’t get the appeal of the chain coffee houses.  When I have to speak another language to order a large coffee, I’d rather .. not.

Give me a house blend, garden variety coffee, preferably poured from a neighbor’s coffee pot and I’m a happy girl. A satisfied cat.

Coffee anyone?
