He doesn’t call the qualified,
He qualifies the called!
It’s comforting to know that even though we aren’t perfect …
He‘s at work in our lives … anyways.

P.S. Heartfelt prayers for friends & colleagues and everyone along the East Coast. xo
Impressive.
I enjoyed that saying; I didn’t write it but it sure did ring true to me. MJ
Just goes to show, we aren’t expected to be perfect. Good thing!
I agree 🙂 MJ
And I love that little church!
Sadly, it’s closed now. Someone has bought the old church and, from what I’m told, has talked of making it into a B&B. I’m not sure how, for the upstairs is basically one large room with a choir perch at the front. But when I look at the photo I am transported to my Sunday School days of years ago, the smell of Lemon Pledge and heading downstairs for bridal showers and anniversary “teas.” I’m praying you folks are OK in this hurricane, Dianna. MJ
MJ, I’ve seen this posted as a status on several of my FB friends with the added request to ‘repost if you aren’t perfect…’
Frankly, I find your post more meaningful here than as a status on FB. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for leaving out the ‘repost’ stuff.
Lovely picture, too.
Me too; that’s where I saw it. And that’s the little prairie church of my childhood.
Cheers! MJ
Love that beautiful church building ~ and love this reminder!
Thank you; it’s even prettier inside. MJ
Love it – Qualifies the called
We have join the IN Crowd – INcluded in His Love
Ooh I like that, “the IN” crowd. Thanks for visiting, MJ
Like your post! What a reminder that we don’t have to be perfect to be believers!
I love the photo of the church. It’s like something from our collective memories of days gone by…dear and sweet, and makes me just a little sad to think of those bygone eras, when life seemed simpler (but probably wasn’t).
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you; I love that little church and it’s photo definitely takes me back to simpler days. Cheers! MJ
careful…you’ll have the christian fundamentalists after you for painting a true picture….
i was sitting on the beach when the earthquake hit…was wild to have my chair rock back and forth on its own…
as for Irene…fortunately a non-event here…just wind and rain
Well .. there is that. The good news is the message: no one’s perfect and we’re still loved.
Wasn’t that surreal to have your chair sway on it’s own? I had the same thing in my office .. at least you were at the beach, Coop! :).
Glad Irene spared you … Cheers! MJ
This is the 2nd time today I’ve read something similar to this and I like it! It’s a wonderful reminder. Thank you.
You bet, MJ
This is a lovely reminder, thanks!
‘welcome 🙂 MJ
