I nearly missed it!

I almost let a milestone slip past me … turns out, I’ve been blogging one whole year! The actual 365 day mark was last Tuesday;  my first post on 10/18/10 can be found here.

... thank you for the love ...

Oh what an adventure it’s been!  I’ve written a lot, deleted more, shared too much and cried. I’ve laughed, I’ve learned and I’ve grown.   More than anything else, I’ve been blessed. Blessed by the kindness shown by so many of you – my fellow bloggers –  from all over the world.  What an experience this has been!   You’ve inspired me with your writing, rewarded me with your comments and humbled me at just how many experiences we share in this game called life.

So today .. on this 1 year +1 week blog-iversary,  I just want to say:

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
Your heart is true you’re a pal and a confidant

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see, the biggest gift would be for me
and the card attached would say,
Thank you for being a friend

  1. Happy Anniversary Friend! We are all the better for the day you posted your first entry; so glad you did. Keep writing and we’ll all keep reading.

  2. Thank you for coming into our lives MJ, it has been a pleasure! 🙂

  3. Happy Anniversary! I’m so glad you realized it, so we could all help you celebrate!
Seems there are several of us who began blogging around the same time.
I’m proud to have you among my blogging friends – and LOVE the Golden Girls and the theme! I’m so old I remember when that song made the charts in 1978 – long before the tv show!

  4. My life is better with you in it. Thanks for all your thoughts. You are a natural.

  5. A year of wonderfully written stuff, MJ! Congrats to you! Thank you for enlightening us and reminding us of the good stuff.

  6. Congratulations! I read somewhere once that good writing, really good writing, changes lives for the better. While you were busy changing yours, you were changing others too…don’t forget that. Stay on purpose! Much love ~

    • …aww thank you Coach Beth. Funny, I was in training all day today and what were we learning? Coaching tips! Some great stuff in there and all I could think of was, “wow – need some of that in MY life!” Cheers, MJ

  7. I have liked and emjoyed your blog ever since I bumped into posting about your BFF cousin. I could relate and then I was hooked. You have a “purpose driven” site. Congratulations and perfect blogaversary song.

  8. I have SO enjoyed the fun stories, light hearted observations and deeply effecting words of wisdom that i recieve each time my email inbox shows me another post from you. Thank you for sharing one of your passions with us. They are gifts, truly!

  9. Happy Anniversary! Thank you for all your wonderful insight’s and pictures
    Prayers for your day

  10. I know I could shed a few pounds…but an elephant??? Happy Blogiversary. Yours is a blog I always look forward to reading.

    • You goofball, the elephant’s me … 🙂 Thank you for your comments and sense of fun + wisdom for good measure, I always appreciate them ~ MJ

  11. Hey congratulations! I didn’t realize how closely matched we were for our blogging journey…by date anyway! You’ve definitely outpaced me in every way! But I’m happy for your success and wish you many more amazing adventures in the wonderful world of blogging!

BTW, today is my 1 year blogging anniversary…I knew it was close, and I looked back at the date of my first post when I hit the 200 mark. Like you expressed, I feel like I’ve grown a lot from this experience, even if it is only visible to me!

    • Yay on you, Sheila 🙂 I’m so proud to have you on my Blogroll and look forward to reading where this coming year takes you 🙂 MJ

  12. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! I love your blog and am so glad we’ve connected. I’m looking forward to many more words from you in the years ahead.

  13. Your blog is very consistant, very good, love the photos, great “reply-response time”. It’s my favorite blog. While other folks blogs can get syrupy sweet, or mean, or simply too much about the person writing it (like MINE)…yours keeps the reader engaged. Thank you for keeping me interested in what you have to say.

    • Thank you, Rich, for your observations & kind words. It has been great fun to slog through all my topics over the past year and I’m glad to have found you and your blog along the way 🙂 MJ

  14. I read when I can, and when I return home, I will be able to not be so far behind. Congratulations on one year and here’s to many more!

  15. MJ~
Congratulations! There is nothing I can say that hasn’t already been expressed here by everyone else. I think a simple “ditto” from me is about the best I can offer. You really do add to all our lives…so thanks fellow Michigan transplant and don’t stop writing!

  16. Congratulations on one year! I’ve enjoyed getting to know you and your blog over the months. Yay!
