Whiskey on a Sunday

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and as a tribute to all the “Mc’s” and “Mac’s” in my lineage, I give you this traditional Irish Blessing:

May you always have walls for the winds,

a roof for the rain,

tea beside the fire,

laughter to cheer you,

those you love near you,

and all your heart might desire.

To bless and to keep you …

And, of course, some Rovers to liven you!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

 * Have fun * Be Safe!

  1. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, dear MJ.
    A beautiful tribute to Ireland.

    • Thank you, Marion! I’ll be partaking in the festivities for sure. A visit to Ireland is near the top of my bucket list … mostly I want to visit with the people, sit in the Pub, and wander that green countryside .. ahh
      Cheers!!
      MJ

  2. Well, thank you MJ (my maiden name was McGuriman. But my Dad’s ancestors came to this country from Scotland…. oh well, I still celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!)
    Have a great weekend.

  3. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.. I wore green to work today thinking it was the 17th, LOL. I love your banner pic at the top… gorgeous colors!

    • I wore green yesterday, too … just to start the weekending off correctly, of course. Taking in some Killian’s, Irish music and traditional stew later today … Happy day to you! (( and I love that little teacup with flowers, too)).
      MJ

  4. As a McCullough, I wish you a happy St. Patrick’s Day, my friend!
    Hugs,
    Kathy

  7. Happy St. Patty’s Day, MJ! I thought about you when I heard there were tornadoes in MI. My heart goes out to the people affected by the storms.

    • Thank you, Lenore. Yes, the tornadoes hit East MI hard, just outside of Ann Arbor/Detroit, about 3 hours due East of us. Scary stuff. Very minor injuries, I’m told, and we’re all grateful for that. Thanks for checking in on us 🙂

  8. Really love the message in the first video. Beautiful. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, MJ!

  9. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, MJ!! Ireland Forever!

    • Indeed. Had my share of Killian’s Irish Red tonight, they were serving Corned Beef & cabbage all around .. and the pipers were playing, too. Awesome!
      MJ

  10. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I love those Irish blessings, and the lively music.

  11. Isn’t it great to have the whole weekend to celebrate! I think we’re all a little Irish – if not in lineage, in spirit – on this holiday! Enjoy.

    • Yes — and last night, at our local ‘haunt,’ the Pub had a Fife & Drum band come in — men in kilts, bagpipes, drummers, you name it = it was glorious and I’m still smiling 🙂 MJ

  12. This song is good.
I could feel a festive atmosphere in this song.
    Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

    노래 좋네요.
노래에서 축제 분위기도 물씬 느낄 수 있고요.
    성 패트릭데이 축하합니다.
