on Need

Consider this the next time someone you know (child, in-law, spouse, etc.) acts out, acts up, pouts, snorts, stomps or whines:

Love me when I least deserve it because that is when I most need it. –Swedish Proverb

  1. After the morning we had, I needed to be reminded of this 🙂

  2. Good reminder!

  3. How sweet–and so, so true! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
    Hugs,
    Kathy

  4. 🙂 Love this!

  5. First of all, what a precious picture!!! Absolutely adorable. And I’ve heard that saying before. It’s so true, but so easy to forget in the “heat of the moment”.

  6. Ouch! – Love it!

  7. Wise words!

you’re not spending enough time around two-year olds….

  9. I so get this and appreciate when people love me, despite my acting up still.

  10. One of my favorites 🙂

  11. Personally, I think the cat is trying to pick his pocket.
Of course, I tend to be a bit of a cynic at times… ;>)

  12. Ah, so true, for children and adults. Unfortunately, so often the opposite is the reality. People are only “loved” when they are at their best. I read once that all love is unconditional. Everything else is just approval. Maybe real love is what we give when people are being unlovable, but we care for them anyway; and we are merely giving approval when people are acting their best. It is much easier to give approval than love. Does that make sense? ~ Sheila

  13. Beautiful quote MJ. And that picture is too cute!
