Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people.
Before you tell me how much love your God, show me how much you love all His children.
Before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors.
In the end, Iβm not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as in how you choose to live and give.

LOVE this post!!! And so very true.
Thank you; I read that message, wished I’d written it and immediately thought “must. blog. this.” Cheers to you Marion! MJ
Adorable pictures with a message right on the mark.
pretty hard to resist those furry friends π MJ
Yah…where the rubber meets the road theology…that’s what I like to hear from folks too MJ. When we were kids being raised Catholic we’d go to church every Sunday. From the moment church was over my Uncle would start a litany of things about the priest, the people, etc…and none of them nice. This hypocrisy did not escape the kids.
To his credit, when I asked my dad why Uncle J acts that way he replied, “it’s easy to be religious for an hour a week. It’s the rest of the hours we need to focus on”

I understand, Anna. Your story was spot on and, sadly, true far too often. MJ
“show, don’t tell”. That’s anti-political, you know. Politicians go by “spin, then ignore”
Lead by example, right? MJ
Oh. I love this post. Amen!
π Me, too. MJ
I wish this was my cat happily snoozing with one of my dogs. Sadly, no. What they show, I am not telling, but it isn’t pretty. Hissing and barking are involved. Love the meaning though. One hug is worth a thousand words.
We had a lot of barn cats on the farm. One old Tomcat, aptly named “Tom,” was a ginger kitty, nearly blond. He snuggled often with the border collie. All that fur? He was in heaven. They had a peace treaty of some sorts I suppose. MJ
Oh, MJ, these are some of the most precious photos I have ever seen! And I love the mesage!
Hugs,
Kathy
Thank you, Kathy. Consider yourself hugged! π MJ

I totally agree with this post! Cute images, too. I just fell in love with the dog in the 2nd photo!
Yes and doesn’t that pooch have the most beautiful eyes? I think she’s got some border collie in her .. MJ
Oh, the photos are perfect for the quote. Words to live (and give!) by!
Thank you; I’ve been saving that quote for just the right day and the photos seemed to pick themselves. Have a great day, Dianna. MJ
Seems we could take a lesson from the furry creatures of the world, huh?
I think we could … MJ
Amen to that! Glad I found your blog and am now following!!
Thank you for that and thanks for the follow; I’ve added yours to my list as well π MJ
Yay! Thanks. xoxoxo
You have the cutest pictures! I love snuggling animal photos.
Who can resist furry cuteness? Not I π MJ
Sweet photos, good thoughts. Abraham Lincoln said, “I care not for a man’s religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.” Same idea, works with people too! ~ Sheila
