In my secret world, beds are always made and my kitchen always sparkles.
In my secret world, I am never late and every meal I prepare is healthy & balanced.
In my secret world, when I dance I am graceful and daring and hardly ever Elaine-like.
In my secret world, I’m witty and wise and everyone wants to be my friend.
βEverybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.β β Neil Gaiman
Care to share what’s going on in your secret world?
In my secret world I should be able to write a novel. Some research reports women speak 20,000 words a day. If a novel is 100,000 words, that book should be written in 5 days! Sigh! Now this is a fun thought and a fun post!
I have no doubt you can write a novel π MJ
LOL!! “…when your sarcasm is so advanced people actually think you’re stupid.” !! Happens to me All The Time. Hahaha…Omgosh, I can’t stop laughing.
~d.
p.s. Dee’s secret world…my house is always vacuumed and my horses are forever in tip-top, ripped condition.
… I know, I’ve had to explain it before (sarcasm, that is) then I felt really dumb when they didn’t get it. Sheesh!
Glad I made you giggle π MJ
In my secret world, all my photographs are printed and organized.
oh yes, good one Arlene!
MJ
My sarcasm is never understood here in China π
p.s. I love dancing like Elaine π
I can only imagine what the language barrier does to sarcasm. I have been known to bust out an Elaine move at a wedding, just because. I am a decent dancer, but there have been times when my jiggy didn’t match my jive. Sigh.
MJ
Yeah… the language barrier (and poor translators) can certainly mess up sarcasm… hehe. I’ve had some good laughs over it and a few embarrassments π Just sat at my desk for my last day here!
I’ll bet that’s exciting and emotional all in one (last day)
Bests to you as you transition ::home::
π MJ
In my secret world, Ben & Jerry’s pints of ice cream only cost $1.00. π
There’s probably a coupon somewhere that could make that happen but I know I’m too lazy to find it π MJ
In my secret world, my life is a hilarious sitcom (like Seinfeld) and I am Jerry.
Can I be Kramer? π MJ
Yes!
In my secret world, I’m 25 again…. π
but only if we can take all that we know now with us, right? Great point, Dianna!
MJ
In mine I am healthy, moderately wealthy, and travel a lot with my wife.
Yes I hear you there. I’m healthy, I am not wealthy and I don’t get to travel nearly enough. But when I do, I roll in it!
MJ
My parole officer tells me that I should keep my secret worlds to myself…my therapist agrees. HA!! But seriously…I agree, most have “secret worlds” but are too timid to live them out, OR are afraid to make some of those secrets a reality…hence they never become attainable goals. I’ll never be an All Star second baseman for the Cardinals, but I can still “stay in the game” by umpiring.
Good post MJ. (what’s the meat?…looks like (drooling sounds) rrrrriiiiibbbbsssss)
R
Ha, you crack me up RR. Do you find yourself leaning forward when the players slide into base? I do. Good for you on umpiring, I sometimes think they get a bad rap.
That meat was definitely ribs, Grilled on the rib racks on a Friday night then slow roasted the next day in the oven on low, wrapped in foil. Fall-off-the-bone-good.
MJ
In my secret world I speak foreign languages with ease — not a simple task when I have a southern accent. But you are liked by everybody and I bet your meals are balanced and your kitchen sparkles.
Wouldn’t that be fun? I would love to hear your southern accent, I’ll bet it’s beautiful π
On the rest of it? Sometimes my meals balance, sometimes the kitchen sparkles (not today) and sometimes people “get” me .. I have a few that my sarcasm is just too advanced for – ha!!
MJ
Oh the secret worlds I’ve lived in…Mad scientist discovering untold secrets and healing the world π Some others (not so secret anymore) have morphed into reality thankfully. The kitchen here is like the tide, ebb and flow. Dancing and singing encouraged no matter skill π
I love it, Anna … mad scientist, hee hee. I agree, dancing and singing should be encouraged no matter the skill… Cheers! MJ
In my secret world, dust bunnies are extinct.
ooh, good one!! MJ
Love these photos! I have a secret world too…I’m much funnier, very chic, cool, smart…oh, and definitely tall!
Maybe in the next life:) ~ Sheila
ha ha (taller!) Have a wonderful day! MJ
