No, not the bucket.
Music.
There have always been those certain songs that make me get jiggy with it.
Ones I always turn up the volume for.
Ready?
and
and
and
and one more
Am I dating myself?
Probably … the thing is, there are hundreds more I love just as much. Rock, Pop, Classic Country, Funk, Big Band, Classical, Soul and of course, Elvis (yes, he gets his own category, heh heh).
So tell me, what songs make you wanna reach for the volume?
Andrea Bocelli’s Romanza!
I love Andrea Bocelli too Georgette.
doesn’t hurt that he’s super hot, either – Hello!
MJ
Oh yes, turn it UP! MJ
So many…I just like music…all kinds. From Elvis to Bocelli…turn it up!
you and me both, Butch .. crank it π MJ
Seal – Crazy. As well as all the ones you shared. Fun, fun, fun!
I love that one as well, LD .. Happy Friday! MJ
Some of mine would include these:
“Twist and Shout” by the Beatles
“Don’t Fear the Reaper” by Blue Γyster Cult
“Dark Night” the Blasters
All of them can be found on YouTube if you want to hear them.
Thank you, Bob .. I should have included the Beatles, too and Nazareth, Boston, Journey, The Stones and Bad Company. Hubbs introduced me to Blue Oyster Cult and Bad Co. I don’t know the Blasters, maybe I would if I heard it, but I’ll certainly find it on Youtube or Amazon :). Thanks for weighing in
MJ
MOI?? gimme that Jerry Garcia Band or Grateful Dead ANY day π dance like a hippie arms a-flailin’, legs akimbo, twirling like a dervish π
Rock it out, Sistah!
MJ
π
In no particular order:
I’m your boogieman–KC & the Sunshine Band
Way Down–Elvis
Satisfaction–Rolling Stones
Sweet Emotion–Aerosmith
Party Started–Pink
Plus a host of many many others! π
R
I like all the ones you mentioned and just listened to Sweet Emotion yesterday … we saw Aerosmith in concert about 7 years ago and the way the stage was set up meant our first row lower bowl seats were FIRST row — Steven Tyler was incredible, we still talk about that concert and how good it was. Fun list, RR!
I’ll bet you crank the tunes up in that garage of yours, too?
MJ
No…I bust my moves inside the house. The last time I danced outside someone called 911 thinking that I was having a seizure. Go figure. π
hee hee!
I had to comment on Georgette’s comment. I too love Andrea Bocelli. I have all of his cd’s. But even that can’t compare with your love of Elvis. I can’t even hear his name now without thinking of you.
“I can’t even hear his name now without thinking of you” – my work here is done, hee hee.
I must get me some Bocelli, I don’t have any of his cds!
MJ
I’m reading this on my mother-in-law’s computer, and can’t see (or hear) any of your songs..?? Just a few songs off the top of my head that I always turn up the radio for:
Old Time Rock & Roll – Bob Segar
Bad Moon Rising – CCR
You Never Can Tell – Chuck Berry
Midnight Confessions – Grass Roots
I could go on and on and on….
(Am I telling my age??)
Hi there, if she has an older web browser it will not support the music videos (sigh) .. I love all the songs you mentioned, Dianna … and no, you are not telling your age, just that you have excellent taste!! π
MJ
Those are all favorites of mine; I must be in the same age group, though you look a lot younger than I do…
I’m 49 and the youngest in a family of 5 so I listened to my brother’s Mott the Hoople & David Bowie albums, my sister’s John Denver and Simon & Garfunkel albums and other assorted hits – definitely a child of the 70s π
MJ
Oh, so many like…
Lady Gaga – The Edge of Glory
Cascade – Evacuate the Dance Floor
Donna Summer – Last Dance
You and I have similar tastes, methinks, why? all the ones you mentioned have a great beat π
Cheers! MJ
Van Morrison.– every time
Brown Eyed Girl? Instant volume adjustment!
MJ
Or Moondance. Or Crazy Love. Or Tupelo Honey. Or Into the Mystic. It doesn’t really matter. The volume goes UP!
yes, yes, yes!
