Close, clear & release

Close your eyes.  Clear your heart. Let it go.

Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” ―Ann Landers

What are you hanging on to? Can you let it go?

  1. Thanks for this 🙂 Letting go has never been a talent of mine!

    • I know what you mean, Tori. Somethings I am better about letting go … like dusting. Have no problem NOT doing that – ha! 🙂 Other things (past hurts and betrayals) are forever in the vault! MJ

  2. Sweet picture of that little pooch having a nap.
And, by the way, I love you new header!

  3. Oh, to sleep the sleep of the innocent…lovely puppy!

  4. Love your header photo. Cute pup, too. Great quote.

  5. As I collect things/stuff, I have had to say “enough, time to stop.” This is a good time to remind us about “letting go.” Gorgeous header and very cute puppy.

    • I hear you there, Georgette. The only material things of late that I have had trouble letting go of are books! I have a stack to be read .. but they’re kind of taunting me so they might go after all 🙂 MJ

  6. Gah, these last 10 pounds… GO already ;O

  7. So true. Letting go can feel like defeat. I think sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission.

    • Yes, giving ourselves permission is a big part of it, at least for me it is. I sometimes revert to the “keeper of” whatever – rituals, roles, organizer, etc. and then I end up resenting it. Crazy! MJ

  8. This is so true…….and something I need to work on. Thanks emjay 🙂

    • I’ve let go of a lot of stuff and even more people; the frightening thing is when you look around and see what’s left, there’s a temptation to fill their spot straight away. I’m resisting it.
      Cheers to you Bella!

  9. I’ve been holding onto some resentment and I’m working hard to let it go!
