Laden with blossoms
Laden with snow
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” – Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass

Aw…I never read Alice in Wonderland, but I love this quote. It’s perfect with your pictures!! No snow for us, but no springtime yet, either.
I took that winter picture yesterday morning after shoveling a pathway for old dog. Then I remembered I had nearly the same picture from springtime … the quote I found along the way. It makes me want to read “Alice in Wonderland,” too. Have a wonderful day!

One of my favorite books! The photos are lovely and certainly illustrates the quote.
Thank you; a little reminder that Spring shall come again 🙂 MJ
The quote makes me think of snow in a different way…a better way. Thanks.
Yay! I hear we have sunshine in our forecast this weekend .. ~!Happy Dance!~ MJ
What a lovely thought!

AAAAH! These pictures are the true picture of God’s love for us (Mercy)
The bottom picture shows us how we feel during life’s struggles – falling over with the weight of our problems – feeling like spring and God’s Plan will never show up
The top picture shows us that God’s “Springtime” always comes and fills our life with the beauty of love
God Bless

You are right .. sometimes we feel laden down with life, our own troubles, whatever. Then a little sunshine comes along and we pop right back up in full bloom 🙂 MJ
Full Bloomin!
God Bless
Perfect words for 2 perfect photos. I absolutely love lilacs in bloom. Thank you for the spring photo especially!
They are my all time faves .. we bought this house in winter, I didn’t know we had Lilacs till that spring — what a most excellent surprise that was!
MJ
That was a most excellent surprise. Reminds me of the first spring after we bought our house when I saw some bright red peeking out of some brush. It was a beautiful rhodedendron. After working like a dog all summer, clearing a ton of overgrown brush, including the bushes right around the house, I discovered that we had 26 rhodies in all! Many different sizes and colors- and a few are fragrant. Lovely!
Aww — what a great find yourself 🙂 Rhodies are so bright and happy, how fun was that to discover all that was there. Makes me think of and be thankful to whomever did the planting 🙂 MJ
The snow “loved” our lilacs so much it bent them over to the point of snapping the main trunk! We’ll see what pops up this spring…I understand that they’re real resilent.
They are pretty hearty … somehow they’ve survived me .. all I do is pull the weeds around ’em. Hope your Lilacs come back this year and if not this year, next. These were on the ground nearly, too, and I tapped them ever so gently with a broom .. in my housecoat and winter boots. Glamour abounds .. or not 😉

I fell in love with lilacs when we lived in Michigan. Love seeing them flower in the spring, and the fragrance! One of my favorite Michigan finds! ~ Sheila
We had them growing up so I knew they were a northern climate tree/plant but didn’t expect to find them in the yard … our neighborhood is full of them and yes, you’re right, the fragrance – oh my heavens. My all time favorite flower — their scent is heavenly, in my opinion. 🙂 MJ
The quote makes the snow likable. However, I prefer the sunshine and blossoms. 🙂
I hear you there. I love all seasons and springtime photos remind me that winter doesn’t last forever, even if some grey days in a row make it feel that way 🙂 MJ
