I love you this much

I’ve been lost, weak and confused.

I’ve felt flawed, anxious and full of heartache.

I’ve tried not to judge but known that I did.

There were times I’ve excelled and times when I’ve failed.

But still, I pray.

Still, I think.

Still, I wake, toss and turn.

And in time, I remember to turn to Him.

And I laugh when I realize it really is just that simple:

“Step out of your way, girl, and come to Me.”

EASTER-cross-blank

We asked … How much do you love me? And He said “This much.” And then He stretched out His arms and died. For you. For me. For us. For them. For the good, the bad, the weak and the sad. For all of us.
He loves you this much.

  1. Perfect post for today, MJ. A blessed Easter to you and your family.

  2. “stretched out his arms” is an enduring image. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  3. We are so Blessed – Happy Easter

  4. He loves us indeed! Thank you for the reminder of His unending grace. Happy Easter!

  5. Beautiful! Love the song, hadn’t heard it before. So poignant, heartbreaking to see the child in the video. Humbling to turn that around and realize we often do the same to God. And I agree with the last line of your poem, I am the one in the way of my own progress. Blessings to you this Easter! ~ Sheila

    • I just love that song, had forgotten about it for a while, and stumbled across it while writing this post. Yes, we often do the same … not realizing His love for us was there all along!
      Happy Easter to you, Sheila!
