“I loved autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it.” ― Lee Maynard

It’s Autumn here in Michigan. Apples for sale. Cider. Harvest in full swing. Sunny days with temps hot enough to peel off the layers; nights cool enough to pile them back on.
It’s Autumn. And it’s my favorite.
Absolutely! Autumn is my favourite, too.
Yes love it all!! MJ
my favorite season too. we’re hoping to press apples for cider either Saturday morning or sunday afternoon. I have about 20 bushel of ginger golds that make some awesome cider. DM
Yum! I bet that is some good stuff, DM

And we’re anxiously awaiting it here in Virginia!
Enjoy it, MJ!
We are not at peak but it’s probably 2 weeks away — the first picture is in my yard, the other 2 are from about 2 hours north of here — so the Northern areas are turning faster.
I love the colors, that’s all I know 🙂 MJ
Wow! You are ahead of us here in southeast Pennsylvania. Just a very few things have color. Our peak is in mid-October. Looks beautiful!
We are early this year, I think — the 1st photo is from my yard, the other 2 are further north … either way, I think it’s glorious 🙂 MJ
Its my favorite too. Bring it on! Its such a blessing.
Agreed! MJ
Just love this time of year. Our day yesterday was just as you described: cool enough to need some layers in the morning, and warm enough for shorts and short sleeved shirt in the afternoon. I so miss the beautiful fall colors. Here in WA, we are cherishing each and every sunny day, because you never know when it will be the last one for several weeks (of thick low clouds and rain). Beautiful photos!!
I hear you — winter in MI is quite dark, and that was a hard adjustment for me coming from the bright plains of Saskatchewan. Even though the winters there are cold, there’s usually a LOT Of sun, not so here. So I soak up all this glorious sunshine in the fall and hope it sustains me through till spring 🙂
Bests! MJ
Wow-zer! Gorgeous!
Yes yes!
MJ
Autumn is my favorite. Your pictures look just like home to me, but your season is arriving just a little ahead of ours. I saw just a hint of it beginning to settle in here this morning.
We’ve had a bit of a dry spell and I think that might turn things earlier … our peak is still weeks away but, for now, I’m enjoying every scent and sight out there 🙂 This was Frankie’s favorite, too — manic squirrels, still warm enough to grill but the oven might be on as well = happy doggie!
MJ
Love the fall and all things related! We don’t get a lot of color in SE Alaska…too wet, and most of the trees here are evergreen. Fun to see your photos…loved the fall weather in Michigan when we lived there. I always have a soft spot in my heart for the state. ~ Sheila
and you are welcome back anytime! MJ
Oh, MJ, the colors are stunning. Fall is, by far, my favorite season. I’m missing it here south of the equator.
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
I love it — another bright, glorious day here today – sunny and dry, around 77 — ahh!! I can’t get too used to it, rain’s coming … Bests! MJ
Ours are just beginning to get a tinge of color. Yours are gorgeous! So is the quote!
I think we’re a bit ahead this year b/c of drought .. not sure .. but either way, I’m loving it 🙂 MJ
