More snow. More cold. More bitter temps.
More school closings. More dire traffic warnings.
More.
No offense to my pals Terri and Lucy, but at least I’m not in Minnesota! (You gotta find the silver lining where you can, peeps!)
Stay warm! Stay safe! Stay … tuned!
Brrrrrrrrrrr! So how cold is it in Terri’s part of the woods, I wonder? Going to check. Stay warm. I’m glad to be here, south of the equator, now!
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
I think they’re hovering around -20 or more in MN … then you add the wind and it’s -holy sh*t! 🙂 Happy day, Kathy
I posted one of those 7 day weather charts on our facebook page last weekend too. (called for -24 on Monday) but like you said, for people in Minnesota (and other northern states), this is not uncommon. I may have already mentioned this, if so, chalk it up to short term memory 😉 but I just reread The Longest Winter last week while on a trip East. I knew we were in for some unseasonably cold weather and thought that book from the Little house on the prairie series would give me some great perspectives to keep in mind. As long as the heat doesn’t quit and there is coffee in the house, I will be OK. Stay warm! DM
When I was a kid, schools weren’t cancelled b/c of snow, they were cancelled b/c of cold & extreme conditions.. but you’re right, as long as there is power/heat/coffee/internet, I’m not complaining 🙂 MJ
Not that cold here (14.9) with a -5 wind chill. That’s plenty cold, though! Are you still working from home? Hope so!
That’s cold enough!! It warmed up to 6F this morning :). I went to the office yesterday, and am off today with Hubbs, he has a medical appt and needs a driver.. then I’ll work from home later on — stay cozy! MJ
46 here in So. Florida… I had a hard time finding closed toed shoes to wear out for coffee this morning, other than my running shoes! We’ll be back in the 80’s by the weekend… you’re welcome to come down and thaw out 🙂
That’s cold for youze guyz!! Bests to you, Sandi 🙂 MJ
It warmed up by the following day and in the 80’s today… that’s our 1 day winter!
whoop!
We are just a few degrees warmer hitting 0 last night. This is rare for my area and I don’t like it. Hawaii is looking pretty good with a nice umbrella drink!
That is chippy, too … how do the furry friends like it? 🙂 MJ
Not a bit!
… figured as much! 😉 MJ
My sister is in Minnesota ( real temp last night -30, wc -58). And no its not normal. Maybe way up north but she’s an hour west of the Cities. Darn cold here in Wisconsin too. -18 last night, wc was just nasty. What makes me laugh are the whiners in New York City this morning. It was 12 and they were surprised people showed up. ha!
That’s bitter cold, any way you slice it. I’ve lived through -44 in Saskatchewan and -4 here in MI. MI is colder, it’s the humidity – bone chilling. Or I’m just older and not wearing my “Ralphie” outfit (Christmas Story reference).
Bests to you! MJ
I think Northerners live longer. We are survivors. Ralphie! lol
“I can’t move my arms!” 🙂 MJ
LOL! No offense taken! At least we didn’t get snow! (I think it’s too cold to snow.)
Holy-Crap-Cold is a great way to describe it!
I knew you’d giggle at that 🙂 I hope it drove a few readers over, everyone must see those silly hats!! Holy-crap-cold indeed !! Stay warm, my friend, MJ
And here it is, March 11, and we’re getting slammed again!
I know! augh !!
