We’re in for another wintry blast this week.
An Arctic Vortex.
Whatever.
Sick of it yet?
I am.
I’m not even that sick of the cold, the wind, the ice. I’m sick of the topic!
So, after my workout last night, as the sweat cooled and my skin started to chill, I thought of days of summer.
And when I think of summer days, I think of afternoons spent like this:
I feel warmer already!Β π
βWhat good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.β
β John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

Love the pic….and the thoughts of summer! One of the comics in yesterday’s paper, showed two snowmen. One said to the other: “Even I’m sick of winter this year!”
That’s about it!! It’s howling outside and about 5F right now, -15 Wind chill … brrr

You are wise, MJ. Meditating on and imaging heat and sunshine on bitterly cold winder days will warm anyone’s heart. Hope your week is full of sunshine, eventually!
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
We’ll do whatever it takes to make it through π The sun came out yesterday and it was glorious π MJ
We are on the same wavelength MJ. I was just looking through pictures last night of our trip to Hilton Head, SC – the pool, the beach, the fresh seafood. I wanted to project myself there and soak in the sunshine. Fingers crossed, maybe it won’t be long for either of us.
Something about the water and the warmth of the sun … ahhh. I had a hot stone massage last night, even the massage bed was heated. I didn’t want to leave (( Xmas gift from Hubbs!! ))
Hang in there, friend MJ
I need a pedicure! Maybe that will help!
you and me both!
MJ
Need. WARMTH. NOW!! π

Hmmmm. What a tease!
someday ….
MJ
I was just thinking that same thing. As sick as I am of the weather itself, I’m more sick of hearing about it. Love your photo. I think I feel a little warmer too!
Whee! And I got a pedicure yesterday π the photo inspired me and that warm water sure felt great. Happy Friday girlfriend!
MJ
That is warming, I think I’ll just sit and look at it awhile.
Please do π
MJ
Well, I’m reading this a couple of weeks after you wrote it, so maybe you’re toasty by now π Or at least a little closer to the scene in the photo! Like you, I’m soooo ready! ~ Sheila
the snow was dripping off the rooftop last night and that sound was rather heavenly!!
