This week is proving to be crazy – travel and training yesterday, travel and meetings today, travel and presentations Wednesday, travel and meetings Thursday and Friday? Dentist, Acupuncturist and catching up on what I missed on the other 4 days!
All that and the email machine does-not-stop. The corporate requests. The customer inquiries. The new projects. The. The. The.
I find it therapeutic that I get this much time in my car – time to bust out a few moves and sing a few songs and get my happy on.
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” – Plato
What song makes you wanna crank it up and groove in your front seat? Where are you off to today?
You ARE doing quite a bit of traveling this week. It’s nice that you enjoy the time in your car. I can just imagine you motoring along, singing to your heart’s content!
I’m off today to see a Model A club, crossing the Jamestown/Scotland ferry as part of its 90th anniversary celebration! Hopefully a blog post will emerge….
Have a great week, MJ!
It has been a great week 🙂 I hope you had fun at the Model A Club and on the ferry! MJ
Any fast hopping tune will work for me in the car. I love Mony Mony or maybe Devil with the Blue Dress or anything with a fast beat!
Me, too! I love it when “Devil with the Blue Dress on” morphs into “Good Golly Miss Molly!” 🙂 MJ
haha…that fellow is so animated I can read his lips. Can the cars next to you read your lips, MJ?
Totally! Yesterday I was jamming to Aerosmith’s “Walk this Way” and then shortly thereafter, Patsy Cline’s “Crazy.” You gotta croon in the car, right? 😉 MJ
I love Bruno! Thanks for the great song. I have music going in my car all the time. And when I’m fixing breakfast, I have the radio on. Around the house, when I’m doing housework or getting crafty, I love music on. Lately, it’s been a lot of mellow music, but I love uptempo too. Tomorrow I’m off to the dentist. And having lunch with a gal pal on Thursday. Have a great week.
I do the same – I usually have more upbeat songs than the other but sometimes a good heart-wrenching ballad can pull a tear out of me heading down the highway — then, next thing I know, something fun and zippy comes on and all is right with the world!
Hope the Dentist visit was OK and that you enjoy a great lunch tomorrow with your pal 😉 MJ
Who IS this singing?! Love it!! Reminds me of Prince of the 80’s.

How about those dancers of hers? LOL.
Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson) + Bruno Mars guest stars – if you watch the REAL video you’ll see Bruno in the middle in a Lilac jacket. Very fun and funky.
Love me some Donna Summer – whoop! MJ
Yes, I absolutely know about this…alll the stuff of life piles up, piles on, and some days I just can’t breathe! Love music, it’s always a help to sort out whatever’s going on in my head. Hope your driving is fun and good times! ~ Sheila
It has been a busy and loud week – lots of Aerosmith, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Bruno Mars, Prince and Johnny Cash in my car 🙂 MJ
I’m finding that going back to my teen years really gives me a ‘hopping’ feeling. Van Halen, Boston, Bruce Springsteen! Yes! It is feel good music!
Definitely love me some Boston! Crank it up 🙂 MJ
More than a feeling !
a classic favorite! Hubbs played that the night I met him – it was a “sign.” that was also my first 8 track purchase, Boston’s greatest hits. The whole album is great 🙂 MJ
8 track! That takes me back!
totally! MJ
Sounds like an insanely busy week! But you clearly know how to deal with the stress. Fun video!
I love that song and have played it nearly daily for the past 5 days 🙂 whoop MJ
I have a whole playlist of cranking songs by various artists, multiple genres. Juliet by the Bee Gees, Friday on My Mind by Easybeats, Multiplied by NeedtoBreathe…I was out all day Tuesday, trying to finish a list of things around the house for a change–transitioning seasonal clothes, gardening, clean up the backyard furniture (when it’s warm enough again).
Good stuff, thank you Patti! MJ
