It’s a beautiful Sunday morning here in West Michigan ~ crisp, bright and I’m enjoying the sounds of morning songbirds … and lawnmowers.
Soon I’m off to brunch with Hubbs’ family – aunties, uncles, cousins, second cousins, in-laws, and outlaws (ha!). Some I’ve known for years, others I’ve never met before. One I introduced you to here.
Hubbs is off golfing so he’ll go next time. That’s something I love about this family – they pull me in and count me as one of their own. And, living so far from my kin, it’s lovely to feel part of another’s.
What are you up to today?
That’s so special to be readily accepted by your hubby’s family. Happened to me the first time; second was a bit more difficult, and, at times, I’m still not sure. But I KNOW where his heart is, and that’s all that counts!
It is special and makes me feel great. I can’t imagine anyone not enveloping you in, Dianna, therefore I declare the issue is with that other person, not you! Loved your last sentence = Amen!

Today was a nice day although not really warm. My husband surprised me by taking me out for lunch. Woo hoo! Ok, it was just pizza but the company was fabulous!
It wasn’t super warm here, either, but it was bright and cheery out. Nice surprise just for you – whoo!! 🙂 MJ
I have a feeling you are easy to love, so it’s no wonder your hub’s family count you as one of their own. 🙂
What a kind thing to say, thank you Dor!
We had a lot of fun, good laughs and good times with some really nice people. 🙂 MJ
What a wonderful thing to do on a Sunday. Today, my son and I picked up a roof rack to carry a kayak. Just as we got home and were about to put it on the car and go for a paddle, Little Man’s best buddy invited him to play. While he played, I resumed working on weeding a long forgotten part of the yard, restoring it to what it should look like: a row of rhodies with no brush growing all around them, (now so thick some of the rhodies are hidden). Great workout- weeding with a shovel and loppers.
It was great! Your day sounds productive and good as well — I have some long forgotten parts of my yard needing attention as well. Thinking about taking this Friday off to do just that 🙂 Have a great day!

I hope your day was as lovely as you were anticipating, MJ. We had a beautiful day here too, and I enjoyed brunch with my sister and her family, after attending a new church with them. It was wonderful!
That sounds great, Terri! It was fun – a lovely drive, lunch with some warm and loving people, and lots and lots of laughs. Can’t get much better than that 🙂 MJ
This is a great testimony, of you and your Hubbs’ family.
I agree; it felt pretty wonderful to be so soundly included! MJ
