Friday happiness

Friday’s here, but I think I skipped Wednesday and Thursday,  it’s been that kind of week.   Like stuffing 10lbs of potatoes in a 2 lbs sack kinda week. Travel, meetings, calls, travel, meetings, calls, repeat.

But, I got to talk with Mom last night – she’d not been feeling well so that made phone calls not an option for the past little while.  She’s on the mend now.  Happiness # 1.

Something I’ve been working on for 6+ months is finally coming to fruition. And it’s something good for my team. I get to tell them about it next week.  Happiness # 2.

Oldest boy’s fiance went bridesmaid shopping last night and grand-daughter MJ went, too.   I hear she tried on every hair accessory in the store, including this one:  Happiness # 3.

There’s been sickness all around – stomach flu, respiratory bugs – you name it.  Not sick.  Happiness # 4.

Living my life grain-free is now a way of life. Down 11.5″ and 11lbs in 30 days.  Feeling rested, healthy and in control – for the first time in years.   Happiness # 5.

What are you feeling happy about this week? What victory can you claim?

Rock on, friends!

I am working on a new knitting project. It keeps my mind off of the stupid television shows my husband watches at night. (How many shows about cars could we need). It’s about 4 feet wide and I would like it about 5 to 6 feet long. I’m using bulky yarn and big knitting needles. This is my happiness #1,2,3,4….

  2. I woke up alive this morning. The big 32″ snow is almost completely gone. No one is sick. Life is good!

  3. I love the way you keep on going and hos you find such joy on the way. You are an inspiration!

  4. Love your list of happy’s! I’m happy that the snow/sleet was a non-event this morning, that I was able to help my niece celebrate her birthday (first one without her mom/my sister), and I’m having dinner tonight with my guys!
    Enjoy your weekend!

    • Aww how thoughtful of you to be with your niece on her birthday, I know you both miss your sister very much. Those milestones hit us hard don’t they?
I’m glad your sleet was a non event too 🙂 MJ

So happy to hear of all your Happy’s this week. Life is good Chuck and I went out to dinner tonight and had a wonderful meal and the rest of the week we did thing together around the house. All happy times.

    • Wonderful – the sun is shining here in West MI and Hubbs and I are going out for dinner with aunts/uncles tonight, should be fun!! 😀 MJ

  6. So glad to hear your mom’s feeling better. Hubby got to share work-related good news with one of his guys today–that is a great feeling. Little MJ looks adorable, so glad she’s included. I’ve not hit my step goals every day, but I did get out on a couple of nice days and enjoyed myself thoroughly!

    • It’s been up and down but she’s on the upside for now, and getting to chat with her is always nice. It is so fun to share good news! And yes she is excited and thrilled to be included. Getting your steps is a great goal, I often clock 6 miles in the kitchen on a Sunday, and about 3 at work during the week – crazy!! MJ

  7. So glad to hear that Mom is better and that you’ve had such a good week! Things are definitely moving in happy circles for you and you deserve it, my friend.

My baby girl came home for the weekend and so I am happy!

    • Aww I know how much you love it when baby girl comes home 😀 Lots of smiles and love there!

Things are moving along, and I feel great, healthy and energized. Such a different feeling that I wake up everyday and say WOW! 🙂 MJ

  8. LOVE the pictures!
