Random 5 Monday?

It’s Monday and I’d like whomever stole my weekend to please return it! 🙂  Here are 5 Random happenings from my world:

  1. Monday. Coffee.  Coffee. Coffee.

monday awesome

2. Felt like spring this weekend and everyone was outside. We saw neighbors we hadn’t seen in months!  Hubbs and I took a drive and toured some – gulp – homes. Yep, we’re making a move to down size.   Here’s my version of the perfect MJ room:

3. Here’s his:

4.  Saw many houses and most were too big.  Saw a few that were just too small. Didn’t see any that were “just right.”  Feels like 3 bears should be right around the corner!

5. Totally random but this made me laugh out loud.  Ever have a friend or relative say this to you? This little girl’s expression might be how I felt when they did.  Ha!

  1. Oh, I don’t envy you the house-hunting job….. I dread the thought of having to move from our home. Although we could certainly stand to down-size!
I shared my randoms on Friday – and my weekend today, so there’s nothing else to report!

  2. Hahahaha! I loved your beginning search for the perfect house and I loved your irreverent ending!

  3. Good luck. We did that last year and ended up with a greater appreciation of our current home. Still, we need to downsize but maybe not this year. My husband said I cannot pack up the pond with the frogs and fish. What a spoilsport!

  4. Love your list! Good luck with your move. I think that’s a wonderful way to clean out, refresh your world, and shake things up a bit! And yes, beginning my day with STRONG coffee! ~ Sheila

    • Thank you, I am both nervous and excited about it. So much to think through, go through, and do – but – would rather get this going while we’re young & able than waiting. We watched Hubbs’ Mom & FIL struggle with that and learned our lesson early! Here’s to good coffee, too 🙂 MJ

Hope you find just the RIGHT home, MJ!

  6. Ahhhhh… I’m a bit jealous of you, looking for a new home. A change like that sounds kind of fun! Love the MJ room. I’m with you on this one.

We have a smallish house already. And our spring plans are to put an addition off the back of the house. Most people think we’re crazy for adding MORE space as our kids are in various stages of moving out. BUT, 50% of the large family celebrations end up my responsibility. And I have no place to put any more than a handful of guests. So we’re expanding and getting comfy where we are (and where we’ve been for nearly 28 years. My hubby doesn’t want to EVER move anyway. Might as well.)

    • I love your idea of building on, Tee, especially since, as you say, you’re often the one hosting things. And – over time – you’re family will grow and won’t it be fun to all gather there!! 🙂 We made an offer and, awaiting inspection results, I think we (gulp) have a house. Lots to do between now & moving – we’ll reno the other then move in and list our current home. The market is hot right now and heading into spring, with my yard in all its glory, should be helpful!! 🙂 MJ

  7. You’ve taken a page from my book–Friday posts on Monday. Happy house hunting! That’s rather exciting to be looking for just the right home. I wonder some days just what that would look like for us.
