The days between Christmas and New Years afford us an opportunity to reflect and address the state of our union. To take stock of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual happiness.
As we look back and ahead we pause to ask:
What was my biggest lesson?
What do I want to learn next?
What do I want more of? Less of?
What makes me happy? Sad?
What do I want to experience?
What do I want to feel?
What/who do I need to forgive?
What do I need to let go?
What do I want to do? What am I willing to do?
What holds me back? Is it true?
As you look to the new year, will you celebrate your accomplishments and forgive your blunders? What excites you about 2017?
I am actually working on one of my 2016 goals for the year again today…studying for my commercial drivers license…it’s called a Class A CDL. Plan is to take the written test(s) next week, then in January 2017 take my (3) driving tests…fingers crossed. It will open up new doors for part time employment, in addition to making me legal when I drive my brothers little dump truck…I drive it now on occasion, but discovered I could get up to a $5000 fine if caught, and jail time…needless to say, that behavior is going to stop. Second goal for 2017 is to start a bee hive. i am excited! There is a 6 week introduction to bee keeping class I hope to take, starting January 26th.
I love this, DM! Good on you 🙂
My Grandmother kept bees – and was very allergic. I have always been fascinated by them myself – have fun!! MJ
Some big questions there!
Agreed!
Sometimes it’s easier to think about what you don’t want than to define what you do – for me I want MORE rest, joy and adventure and LESS stress, chaos and aggravation 🙂
Cheers! MJ
Reflection is always a good thing, especially this time of year. Great questions to ponder and answer! I have some re-setting to do toward my personal goals, particularly in my online world. My word for 2017 is “intentional.”
So ready for the new year! Hope you have a joyful celebration and a wonderful beginning to 2017! ~ Sheila
Oh, I love this! Especially that last reminder. I think my biggest hurdle is that I constantly look in the rearview mirror. So my goal for 2017 is to keep my eyes forward! Happy New Year, MJ!
good to hear from you, Tee – yes, let’s look forward and only look back to see what we left there 🙂 MJ
